What an excellent project for a boy who's mad on dinosaurs! My seven year old granson only needed a little bit of help with the sand but was able to place the plants and dinosaurs for himself. There were far more dinosaurs than could fit into the scene inside the jar so these were duly played with outside the jar. The light that fits into the lid was a huge success and he played endlessly with the remote control changing between the different lighting effects available. The batteries in both the light and the remote control can be changed so I'm not worried about it becoming useless when the batteries inevitably run out.
